Jason Eck and New Mexico beat UCLA tonight in the Rose Bowl. In fact, they beat the crap out of UCLA in the Rose Bowl. 35-10. What a win for the former Jacks assistant.

The one downside to this is this is one more coaching staff recruiting NDSU’s traditional recruiting region

Front runner for Oklahoma State football job

……One intriguing possibility is Texas A&M offensive coordinator Collin Klein.

Klein, 35, surprised everyone by leaving his alma mater, Kansas State, last offseason to take the same position with the Aggies. He has quickly found success in College Station, helping Texas A&M balance its attack behind new quarterback Marcel Reed early in the year.

CBS Sports' Chris Hummer wrote, “He's currently coaching a top 25 Aggies offense, and those in the industry consider him a future head coach.” The argument however for him to remain patient and return to his Alma Mater remains on the table with Kansas State – possibly opening up soon. “Klein is obviously very familiar with the Big 12 and can recruit out of Stillwater. It'll be interesting to see if Klein is willing to be patient, because it's conceivable his alma mater comes open over the next few seasons.”
