Defense is solid, not sure on their QB.

5 takeaways. Missed at least two kicks. Guys cramping up 2 minutes after halftime. Just a lot or random stuff in that game.

Unfortunate for a game heading toward a fun finish. No. 8 UC Davis held a 21-3 halftime lead on No. 11 Mercer. But Mercer came within 23-17 before a lightning delay occurred midway through the 4th.

And big picture, this could impact playoff positioning as this would have been a big win for either team’s resume.

Tonight's FCS Kickoff game against UC Davis will not resume and has been declared a "No Contest" due to intermittent lightning that has continued to move through Montgomery.

FCS final: No. 10 Tarleton State 42-0, Portland State 0
RB Tre Page III: 170 yards, 2 TDs; Defense: 4 takeaways

It marked the first shutout since Week 0 became an annual start to the FCS season in 2014. Portland State also hadn’t been scoreless at home since a 23-0 loss to Northern Arizona on Sept. 20, 2003.

Stanford transfer Justin Lamson is named Montana State's starting QB. He's a junior this fall. Last year at Stanford, he threw for 300 yards and 4 TDs while rushing for 94 yards and 8 TDs

Will be interesting to see how he does.
Did he just need a fresh start, a new opportunity?
Or does he start to look overrated since he was a FBS recruit?

I thought the Fighting Hawks FBS transfer might be handed their QB job, but instead the high school player who developed has won their starting job as a sophomore - for now.
