I dont think there is any way (unless we hear directly from the coaches) we can know whether there has been any offers to quarterbacks. I would think it is most likely we will see one on the list released on signing day.

Here is my guess. There will be at least two QB's on the list this year. (competition is the key). I think it has been difficult to sign a top notch QB when Mertins has been an underclassman. There are so many talented young QB's out there who can play as a Freshman or Soph. They want to go to a school where the QB is older. This year and next are the prime recruiting years for a QB for this reason. We'll get a couple before next fall.

I have been wondering who the number two guy will be next year. The backup QB is always one blitz away from being the starter. I'm curious if Parsons will move back to QB since we only have two guys on the roster right now.

Parsons was a QB last fall, and played as one. He was also a WR and a reverse man. My guess is he plays the same role this fall but is listed as the backup QB unless Bohl brings in a transfer. Just a guess, but I think he can beat out Brecke for the backup job.

IMO it would be nice to bring in a QB for this recruiting class, but to those that think it is a necessity...no, that's just not the case. We are OK as is. Next recruiting class is a different story however.

    Mr. Burgundy

I agree....but I really doubt we were on a Quarterback from Perham...no offense.

Shane is a family friend of mine, dude never even got an offer from NDSU, and would've loved to play in Fargo.

Oh well, he will be converted to safety/cornerback Im sure.

lots of small town kids around here NOT even getting offers by NDSU, as NDSU is hitting the big city, chicago, wisconsin texas... you get the pictures

If the coaching staff felt they were good enough they would have been offered regardless if they were from a little school or from the big city. PL

I wonder if the newest stud QB recruit for MN will force one of their QBs to transfer here?

Do you think this is raising issues with his son, or just heightening the competition???

Sounds like you might have one less coming on an official visit at some point. Was Keegan one of the Wisco recruits that was discussed here before?

    From the SF Argus Leader:

Keegan Nesvacil, a tight end from Middleton, Wis., has verbally committed to play football at South Dakota State.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder was an honorable mention all-conference pick in Wisconsin’s largest class. He was scheduled to make official visits to North Dakota State and Illinois State, but decided to accept the Jackrabbits’ scholarship offer while in Brookings on Monday.
