(Spud Head Coach Ron Davies)Sophomore Zak Walker finished third in the boys long jump with a leap of 22 feet, 2-3/4 inches.
Walker ran a 10.87 in the 100 meters for a fifth-place finish. He was also a finalist in the 200 meters.
“That’s an incredible feat for a sophomore,” Davies said of Walker. “The sky’s the limit for what he’s going to be able to do. … He had a great day.”
Walker is drawing interest in both track and football.
Taye Reich is the highest profile ‘27 recruit currently, in addition to Feeney and many schools being interested in him.
