The spring portal is extra brutal. If a coach doesn't know about a player thinking of entering there is a very limited chance to fill those spots by next fall.

Except they're are a lot of players in the portal from December and more now. Some of those could be good fits for FCS. There are so many it can be easy to get lost in the shuffle.
