    Wait a second though...

If he played for the Bison, he'd have to be his own holder on extra point and FG attempts. Now THAT is worth the price of admission all by itself...

    drop kick it every time

Aaron Pederson was the last NDSU player to do that...I never could figure out how he didn't at least get a shot in the NFL as a place kicker.

I hope Bohl and Vigen have some good recruits we haven't heard about because we're not doing as well as I hoped. I wanna see us win every battle. My standards are pretty high and this is a great class so far.

I guess I'm a little different - if Iowa doesn't want a recruit then maybe NDSU should pass too. I don't want to recruit too many players that other former NCC teams do I want players of a higher status. I think many of our future recruits are deciding between a FBC team and the BISON.

UND is offering playing time, transitional team. NDSU is offering Championships. Some kids don't want to compete for time....they look at our depth chart and are scared away. Brewster is very open that he is offering time as well. I call it the "Zook" strategy. He implemented that at Illinois and now when the kids are Juniors, it is paying off. By the way, Brewster has a top 20 class right now. Pretty cool for the U of M.

Th DL is far from a weakness. I agree that the Bison need to continue recruting quality D-lineman, but to call this area of defense a weakness is just nonsense. A few years ago, I would have agreed with you, but with 4 returning starters and 7 RFr & Soph. ready to roll next year, the 2008 Defense is going to be one of the best we have seen.
Disagree with you.......the DL was a weakness this past year. Period. Teams ran and passed at will and that is why NDSU barely beat several teams and lost to SDSU. The returning players need much improvement and in some cases may need to be replaced by better athletes. Just because there is a bunch of Freshman players on the roster doesn't mean any are capable of contributing. How can you say just because there are 7 RFr and Soph's returning that next years defense is "going to be the one of the best we have seen"? Do you have some inside information? Five years ago Justin Frick contributed right away as a Freshman. Apparently none of these young guys were good enough this year for Bohl to bolster D-line depth.
BTW, The only recruit I am really excited about so far this year is the linebacker from Wisconsin. Hopefully there is more to come. Need some very good D lineman, a stand out QB and a great punter to maintain and improve on last years team. Last years D-line was below average and so what if a few return from that group. The QB was outstanding and the punter too, but we lost both of them to graduation. That is a fact.
