Is it just me or are there fewer verbal commitments that have been reported than this time last year?

I could be wrong...perhpas it was a little later. I just remember all of the articles on the Chicago area recruits.

Maybe I just need to be patient.

Is there much recruiting news for SDSU?

I think the recruiting class will be just fine. Six recruits for sure, two JUCO transfers that we know of, and there are others out there that haven't verballed, but are rumored to have committed (Heckendorf, etc.).

I think in future years we may know even less until signing day, as the recruiting targets will be getting offers from I-A's and might not commit until after sigining day (I think that happens to Montana a lot).

Signing day is next week, so we'll find out more then.

There are a lot fewer reports this year but the new coaching staff may just go about things differently.

I'm sure there are a number of South Dakota athletes but have not heard much. We seem to be focused on South Dakota,Minnesota,Iowa and Nebraska and usually find an athlete or two from Florida. We don't seem to be in Wisconsin or Illinois like the Bison. Should be interesting who we both end up with.

I heard that there was a recruit from Florida in Fargo this weekend for a visit. Yikes! -22 was the high on friday.
