I wish someone would tell us where the Crack Hotel in Moorhead was/is and where the crackhead hotel in Fargo is that is causing all these problems for PetroServe.
Also is that Downtown Engagement Center working for the betterment of homelessness or is it backfiring. In other words, are homeless being attracted to Fargo because there is an Engagement Center?
Moorhead has Micah's Mission, a homeless shelter for whole families but that is on the far outskirts of their downtown. Plus their Dorothy Day House of "Hospitality" has suspended operations due to funding.
I think the best business plan for the Zandbroz building is to have a diversified amount of items for sale. For example, Leeby's was there 40 years and was successful and Zandbroz was there 33 years and was successful. Take the best of both and make it into a hodge-podge of sorts of what worked for both of them. Keep the independent bookstore, book author speaking events, and gifts, greeting cards that worked well for Zandbroz. Have a deli, bakery, tiny grocery area on the other side which worked for Leeby's. I know the property is going for 1.6 million, maybe needs some spiffing up.
People need to quit belly-aching about parking. There are all these parking garages, ramps and so forth. Most of society is mobile, can walk and so forth. But if they can't get a parking space in front of the building, they give up.
I did and all I found was "Foundation Crack Wall Repair in Moorhead" and "Cracker Barrell."
Know where the PetroServe near 13th and 34th St is?
