Yeah I liked his potential more than anything. 9 man to D1 football is quite the jump. Let's hope we have others higher than him. I don't even remember seeing anywhere that we were interested him him. That's OK. We got our last QB out of Illinois.

There was said to be some interest but I never heard that we offered him any scholarship $$$$.

Good signing by UND. We can't get them all but I can't find anything outside of that story that says we were looking at him. Anyone who says "I don't care about going to the playoffs" doesn't strike me as a high achiever.

That strikes me as somebody who didn't get any offers from a DI school that could make the playoffs. I'm sure NDSU had some interest and looked at the kid, he has a good frame and was a very good HS QB. That said, Bohl has the luxury of being picky in finding the right QB.

Sounds like Walker, Mays, Safe and Dragosavich when they signed on to be a Bison with no hope of going to the playoffs. I think that we can all agree that they are high achievers.

Yes, but the Bison are now eligible for the playoffs, and I hope recruits would want to achieve the goal of making it.

I played against Tony Stein who played 9-man. Our QB was recruited by and went to UND also. They have some experience with this type of situation and maybe Nichols is seeing that.

One thing to remember - they will be eligible for this classes senior year (assuming they all redshirt). So, there will be a shot for most of them to make the playoffs.

If it's a 5 year transition so this class won't.
