Good for Roehl. Would have been a bonus to hold onto him, but this is probably the best move for his career development (TSU was a headscratcher, this makes more sense). Hindsight will always be 20/20 and Monday morning quarterbacks can second guess everything in a few years, but on paper, these are the right moves for NDSU and Roehl and everyone involved.
Logan tweeted out that "per her sources, Roehl's salary at Iowa State will be double what he was set to make at TSU." From a monetary and professional development standpoint, pretty much a no-brainer.
congrats to TR! well deserved.
still hope he comes back one day.
UNGOVERNABLE
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.Bob Lutz, The Wichita Eagle, August 30th, 2013
