Give this guy a chance. He realizes some things need to be fixed. This team needs discipline and shore up the offense and defensive lines. Six false starts in one game. These issues have been happening with an old coach for the last two years.

The portal should be used to fill gaps, not build a team. I'm not sure I've seen a coach at NDSU use it effectively yet. Richman is pretty much just a portal pinata, Entz isn't really any better. With the collective and other things it seems we have more resources at TP's disposal and it apperas he is ready to leverage them if needed. I will say having a passionate HC that believes in the program and can recruit lights out is a good weapon to have in the current enviroment.

To me it sounds like you are saying 2 different things. The first part I agree with is it's a gap filler not to build a team. The second part doesn't seem to jive with that though, are you saying we should be adding more or fewer transfers? I don't know how many we've taken the last few years but only a couple that I can think of actually contributed. Maybe that's what you mean, try to get more of a ROI so to speak?

Not exactly more but higher quality, bigger impact talent. Nobody on our level has our resources, need to use those resources more effectively to bring in talent. The portal cannot continue to be a one way talent drain.
