Imo Cam would be the #1 QB in the portal if he were to do so

This is not a knock on Cam, but I think that statement comes from an overinflated sense of his talent level.

To be great a QB he has to know how to look receivers off and make progressions which he hasnt shown the ability to do.

I think he's making progress in progression but I can't remember one time seeing him look a defender off and take advantage of the space it creates. Steve Walker was great at moving the safety with his eyes.

I'm gonna go back to my Trey Lance remark. Wouldn't it have served him well to transfer to a top 5 school and develop further? Perhaps he wouldn't be riding the pine right now?
Nowadays he could stay in college, pull in a cool million/yr and everyone wins.

Trey’s rookie deal as the #3 overall NFL pick roughly $34 million guaranteed. I’d say it worked out pretty well for him.

There is no way Cam would be the #1 QB in the portal. Guys are flying in there right now.
