Man wish there was more buzz for this game!!!
UNI board only has 5 posts as well
Our players better be ready from first whistle to match their intensity

NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
Pump it up eh
Lardsin must go!
Watched some old ndsu highlights today. Just a question. 1. When was the last time we threw a screen to the rbs. 2. When was the last time it worked ? For simplicity sake: got a first down
Northern Iowa is football in difficult straits right now. Funding is way down, fan enthusiasm is not what it was, people love to rag on Mark Farley but really he is one of the only forces of continuity and preventing the wheels from falling off. 20 years ago UNI enrollment was more than 13,000, now it's 9,000. The transfer portal situation has hit UNI harder than most, as one of the program's traditional strengths was to find diamond in the rough type players. Now many of these players transfer to larger programs as soon as they prove themselves. More talented coaches migrate laterally. UNI sees itself more and more as a basketball school. I know anecdotally that the basketball program has much better morale, and a close group mentality that largely keeps the players there. Not always the case with football. All of this is reflected in the poor forum participation, and will be shown in the crowd tomorrow, though it should be a much better atmosphere than normal because it's a crucial game with a lot at stake.
There is no reason at all to think that NDSU won't win. They're much more solid and have looked considerably better this year. That said, UNI is nothing if not unpredictable, and while Theo Day looked uninterested and terrible last week, if he gets hot (and motivated) he is really good. So who knows. I would say if NDSU plays well it wins no matter what, and if UNI plays poorly it loses no matter what. If UNI plays well and NDSU a normal game, then it could go either way. In the unlikely even that both teams bring their North Dakota game, then UNI would win that one. Should be interesting.
