Spinning on Vinnie I see, he is a product of Hopkins High School in the Twin Cities. He is well known down in the Metro.

Since you avoided my scholarship question, I’’ll remind that the Bison may have only had one scholarship to use this year. That went to Dissette. Since the season ended another scholly opened up.
Unless the coaches know of another Big leaving, perhaps they won’t offer Thompson, maybe save it for a Jimmie just in case.
Checked in on another recent Twin Cities Bison Offered Recruit whom Tim Miles signed at San Jose State
https://sjsuspartans.com/sports/mens...eo-torbor/6383
Don’t know if Leo Torbor was injured, but otherwise the Park Center product was deep on the bench as a freshman for Miles.
we didnt recruit Vinnie out of hopkins high school, it wasn't until Juco.
I don't think Mason is coming here, do you?
I do think that having only 1 scholly is gonna hurt us.

Dalton Banks from Southern Illinois has entered the transfer portal. If you remember, NDSU was after him very hard out of high school and he was their top point guard recruit before choosing the Salukis. With a PG spot open with McKinney leaving and Yoder being ineffective, will be interesting to see if Bison pursue him. He has two years left.
NDSU is on his contacted by list:

SIU transfer Dalton Banks tells TPR that he has received interest from:
Jacksonville State
Illinois State
Ball State
Green Bay
North Dakota State

Thought I would share an interesting recruiting story. Back in the mid 2000s, the high school my sons eventually attended won 3 straight state basketball titles. Very hard to do in Indiana. They were led by a big man who looked like he was 30. He was the Gatorade National Player of the Year twice and Naismith National Player of the Year in 2006. He committed to Ohio State because of the new NBA rule that you had to be 1 year out of HS to be drafted. His point guard also committed to Ohio State. I went to a few games but didn't notice a B1G point guard. I figured he was riding to cost tails if the big guy.
They had a great season leading Ohio State to the Final Four and finishing as runner up. The big guy entered the NBA draft and was the easy #1 pick. The point guard averaged 11 points per game but again didn't stand out but also entered the draft. He was the #4 pick. How do I not notice this guy?!? No wonder they won 3 straight state titles.
The big guy obviously was Greg Oden. Good player but couldn't stay healthy and had a fairly short NBA career. He's now the Director of Basketball Operations for Butler basketball. The point guard just finished his 16th NBA season. He's the all time leading scorer for the Memphis Grizzlies and just won his 4th NBA Sportsmanship Award playing for Utah and Minnesota. Mike Conley has always been great but never had the same buzz as his teammate.
You never know how these players will turn out.
