Gophers 2021 season

Two pretty good defenses, going against two offenses that are struggling and are very one dimensional. It would be very interesting to see how we’d do against them.

Kaliakmanis is pretty young. He had some playing time last year but is still pretty raw. He made a few forced throws last night but many of them looked quite good to me. They are missing a few All Americans that they will need to find replacements for. Probably will be a middling year for them. That NB kid is surely interesting.

Right now I don't like NDSU chances against either of those defenses.

Agree. I think that the 2013, 2018, 2019 NDSU teams would have had a good chance against both of those teams last night. Last year's team...not so much. This year's team on paper looks to be similar to last year so I would guess NDSU would have struggled to move the ball against both of those defenses and if our defense this year isn't markedly better than last year's NDSU would have given up some points.

Official nerd stuff. This was an amazing catch by the Gopher receiver in a big spot. I have no idea how he kept that front up just long enough to drag the toe. Live I thought he was 3 yards OOB.

The F on this play is a good friend. Great mechanics. Great view. Very calm and confident signal. He's a good friend of mine. Had a fun chat with him this afternoon.
