There's a million things that need to work to perfection for that to happen and that starts with the right conference (and conferences aren't even done shifting yet), the right OOC schedule, the right recruiting (which is gonna be harder than everyone thinks) an a shitload of other events. Status quo ain't getting that done.

it's 2026 NDSU is in Mountain West.
If the Mountain West is the highest ranked G5 conference and we win the MWC Campionship Game we are IN THE 12.

Who in their right mind thought that NDSU would win 9 going on 10 National Titles in the FCS in what 18 years. Been eligible for what 14? Shit happens and I believe NDSU could find a way.

Ok got it. We move up to FBS and our recruiting doesn’t improve? Very unlikely. Going undefeated in the regular season including OOC has never been done before by a G5 school even though my first post saying we could go undefeated against G5. Interesting

Daycare you are right. In all of the years of FBS ball there has never been an undefeated G5 team going through conference play. Also there has never been a G5 team go undefeated including OOC. I also remember not too long ago a team finishing the entire season undefeated. Maybe I’m wrong. You are 100 percent right though. Our recruiting will stay the same as it is now at the FCS level and we will never ever ever possibly win a conference without a loss. After all, it’s never been done before.
