A new and better FBS thread

Its a catch 22 situation.

People want to back something that is successful, but it takes money to find that success.
A splash hire for a coach could help, but that takes money too.

To really make it happen would probably require using funds that aren't earmarked.
We should start with a stated goal to win the Summit every year, its not a power league.

Find a really good coach that will take a bonus heavy contract for NCAA wins.

I know people crap on MBB Richman and he's by far not perfect, but by results he's done great. Don't forget he's won the Summit autobid 4 times in his 9 years. He has 2 March Madness wins, and 2 of the losses were to Gonzaga and Duke. Didn't get a chance to see how we'd do after qualifying in 2020. Strictly by postseason results he's a great mid-major coach in a 1 bid league.

If donors REALLY want money to go to round ball they can donate there money to a fund where they can direct that money to the sport they are interested in.

I can live with Richman as long as we give him the resources and hold him accountable to the expectations that come with those resources. Fund ourselves at the top of the Summit and continue to push for something closer to MVC funding. Right now we don’t really provide the resources for him to do anything more than he is, which makes it hard to criticize him for his performance because he’s basically done what can be expected. We need to raise the expectations.
