I would also put Maris and Jackson on the Mount Rushmore of North Dakota athletes. I've been trying to think of who I would pick for the other two. Wentz is in the running, but Virgil Hill and Phil Hansen might get my votes.

Maris was the biggest story in Sports not just baseball in 61. Two time MVP and won World Series rings with the Yankees and Cardinals.
Phil Jackson won two NBA Championship rings as a player with the Knicks and a record 11 NBA Championships as the head coach of the Bulls and Lakers.
