Some interesting things here. If the Colts don't find a trade partner and actually releases him, due to the offsets in the contract it would be likely that Wentz would sign with a new team for league minimum because Colts would eat the rest of the salary.
So a team could get Wentz for under a million cap space for 1 year. Would be a huge win for a team that wants to offload or move on from an overpriced qb and could place him on a good team.

That is what I wonder as well. Although Reich did talk like he expected Wentz to be back the day before the Super Bowl. That didn't get covered either.

If they do move on from Wentz the Colts could be very bad next season. The true potential replacement QB's are worse than Wentz. The Colts being worse next year should end Reich and Ballard.
Reich ought to say let me have Wentz for another year. If he doesn't play well enough to make the playoffs you can fire me after next year since I will most likely be fired with whatever worse QB I am saddled with if Wentz isn't here.

this is good. doesn't really shit on Wentz. says how great some of his plays were.....but felt like he could die on every play. haha

I see the GM wouldn't commit to Wentz today but he did say he had a really good hour long meeting with him in the morning before heading over to the combine.
I also see that Coach Reich is going to bat for Wentz and wants him back. The media wants him gone so they aren't reporting it that way but Reich stuck up for him pretty well today.

What a shit show to trash your QB and not commit to him. Lots of teams are publicly committing to their QBs. Dont give me the "he lacks leadership because he didnt make a medical decision that I dont like" excuse.
