He probably reads it as "Hyper Bowl" and thinks it will be a lit game to play in when we're FBS.

You have to think he has the insights and information to be making smart moves in this environment.

Yea Dean cashed out 2 years ago. I don't blame him necessarily.

But in his lame duck year he should've swung for the fences with the mountain west. like hard core pressed then for an invite

I trust Bresciani when it comes to making the right decisions for the University. In this regard I think they have been pushing behind the scenes (at least recently). But I would argue that I'm not very impressed how it's been handled from a dissemination of information standpoint.

    People are getting restless...

The entire athletic department budget is predicated on fan enthusiasm. Whether in the form of ticket sales, merchandise sales or donor contributions. Moving to FBS will take work but it surely isn't going to ever be achieved if fan enthusiasm continues to wain. My biggest criticism is that they have done very little from a PR standpoint and/or gameday atmosphere standpoint to continue to build fan enthusiasm and grow the overall fanbase of NDSU. I have no knowledge of what is going on behind the scenes (nor do most fans) and thus it is imperative that the leadership find ways to keep the fanbase informed and engaged enough so that they contribute to Team Makers, buy tickets, attend games and buy merchandise. They have not done a very good job with that in the past few years. Hopefully they have learned from some of the recent criticism and make some adjustments soon.

I've come to believe that they honestly don't hear the criticism. I think ML is unaware of any of it. He probably has 4-5 high roller confidants in the donor community who are in his ear telling him that they think everything is hunky-dory. This is no other explanation for the dearth of outreach and public information. He and his staff appear to be blissfully ignorant. They relegate the pro-FBS crowd to a few malcontent agitators. Nothing to see here; all is well. Unless we find out that ML has been begging Bresciani for years to go FBS and Bresciani just wouldn't listen to good reason, I hope the new president fires the whole lot.

Get confirmation. Then get back to me.
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles"

When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.

You don't give out trophies for losing. Trophies for sucking. That's a communist idea. You don't get a trophy for losing. You get a piece of pizza and you shut up. Trophies for losing? What the hell happened to us?

Let's say he does. Honest question...does that change your mind? Let's say we could have gone football-only and therefore stay in the Summit for other sports. Hardly any disruption at all and almost no change to the football travel budget. If it turns out that Larson told local press that NDSU has never been contacted, but in fact it was, and we were even offered football-only, would that change your mind about ML or anything NDSU athletics is doing right now? It is an honest question. I totally respect your views on basketball. You couldn't have been too happy about the cloak-and-dagger extension to DR. Would such a football revelation get you on the time-for-a-change bandwagon?
