He was on Dom Izzo's show today. He's very confident he will get an extra year from a medical redshirt which makes this a better situation. Physically he's already the dude. Mentally he's smarter than most and an experienced player so we could get 1 good year out of him as a position player, maybe some playing time later in the year next year

Great testimonial on why some guys who transfer take too much crap about lack of loyalty and the like. A scholarship is year-to-year and a school can pull it whenever they want to with the player having little to no say in it. If the NCAA wants to make and enforce rules that dissuade transferring or punish student-athletes who transfer then the school should have to make a 4-5 year scholarship commitment when a recruit signs his NLI.
