Depending on what the underlying issues are, previous infection may mean very little. Some people just don't have an immune system, I really feel for these people, this has to be a never ending hell for them.

Don't know with this guy but many think prior infections give them all the protection they need. It's too bad this guy didn't get vaccinated before getting sick again.
