Notre Dame has announced they plan to hold in-person classes this fall and I think they are starting two weeks early and finishing the fall semester before Thanksgiving.

Apparently it is to get the first semester finished before Thanksgiving without a fall break so maybe it's just a convenient way to keep kids in town all semester?

Edit: Just heard from a friend with ND connections that they don't want kids going home for Thanksgiving and potentially bringing Covid back to campus with them. They must think that things will have died down enough over the winter for students to return safely in January.
