Good post... I think your strategy for both teams is pretty much dead on but an area where I see the Bison exploiting Montana St is on 3rd down. The Bobcat offense is converting just 35.2% of their 3rd downs on the year (89th in the FCS) and the Bison defense is only allowing 32.3% 3rd down conversions on defense (11th in the FCS). If you can't convert 3rd downs you a) can't sustain many drives into scoring territory and b) when you do you can't finish them in the endzone.

Good point, I haven't gone back a looked at the stats but I think our numbers are a little skewed, we were very predictable early in the year and think at one point our 3rd down pct was near 20%, at mid season we looked at that predictability and our play calling changed a lot, especially on 3rd down, I think our numbers on 3rd down are better in the second half of the season. Still a valid point that MSU will need to win a higher percentage of 3rd downs to compete late in the game.

It’s amazing how Alpha gets on a Bison message board and tries to be one of the boys. Makes me laugh.

Alpha has been runoff and can’t post on Montana boards because of his legal issues. He is the definition of taking this stuff WAY too far.

Alpha hopes NDSU fans enjoy this weekend because he will. Really? We beat the snot out of Alpha’s team. Not sure if he was allowed to watch what happened since UM has pushed him aside.

It’s been a rough couple of years for Alpha. Gotta hand it to him for seeking some joy in a football matchup that his team isn’t even involved in.
