Just the fact that everyone is dunking on Lakes because hes such an idiot for saying that we should be going undefeated each year, when our average record over that time frame is LESS THAN one loss per season. In a fifteen game season we win 14.1 games, mathematically. His point was that we are way better than the competition in the FCS to the point that we should go undefeated each year.

NDSU lost a QB and a WR that made NFL opening day rosters. They also lost a RB and an O-line anchor at C that signed UDFA contracts with NFL teams. They're still putting up ridiculous numbers operating as perhaps the most efficient offense we've seen here in the D1 era.

All of that is true, but all of those things happened before and the train kept chugging along. This year was probably the most happening all at once but the defense had a core group coming back. The surprising part of this year has been the offensive production.

Absolutely. I didn't even include the fact that they lost their OC and the new OC called plays only once before and that was for 1 year at the high school level (I believe). The continuity they've maintained despite the changes faces on the field and on the sideline just defies explanation.

Given the fact that the FCS all-time record winning streak is currently at 33 games, and an unbeaten season usually makes for 15 games a season, I would say that predicting "unbeaten seasons since 2010" seems to fit the definition of (in your words) an "idiot", or, most likely with this specific poster, someone pushing an agenda.

Now, if you want to change the goalpost and in complete hindsight recalibrate for a prediction of 1, maybe 2 straight seasons of being undefeated, given the historically unprecedented results of the last 8 years .......... then yeah, I guess no (in your words again) "f*cking MORON" is going to call the sanitarium immediately on you two, but who knows?
