Amy finished with 2 straight birdies to finish her 1st round at 1 over par. She had 31 putts. I am watching the tourney and it doesn't seem like a real tough course. Certainly not a typical Open course. Lots of trees. Leader right now is 7 under with a bunch at 5 and 6 under.
That is a tough hole to dig out of after day 1. 5 strokes away from top 10 with many that are between her and the top 10 still playing. 7 of 14 fairways hit, ouch that isn't going to get it done.
Its like the wheels fell off from where she was playing early in the season.
She needs to finish the day with the lowest score.
Lardsin must go!
Amy finished at +4 today and +5 for the tourney. Her struggles continue unfortunately
I saw she was 3 over in her 1st 6 holes b4 I went golfing. She had 34 putts in this round.
I believe that certain courses fit the players eye differently. Many top golfers missed the cut. Hopefully she can end the year strong.
1st round of the Ladies Scottish Open. Amy shot a 1 under round with 3 birdies and 2 bogies.
That doesn't sound to bad until I pulled up the leaderboard and the cut line is at even after the first round. At least she is below now and can hopefully put some distance on the line and make a move on the weekend.
