It has been interesting to read that J’Bore Gibbs, SDSU’s top QB recruit last year, is not being projected as the starter yet over at SDSUfans. Both Bulldog & WestsideRabbit look at the junior QB Kanin Nelson as the frontrunner. The Jackrabbits were certainly interested in Iowa State transfer Zeb Noland when he was available.
Gibbs might need another year or 2 of experience before he is ready.

From the Illinois State beat reporter -

Iowa transfer defensive back Trey Creamer changed his mind on transferring to Illinois State and will attend a junior college instead, likely transferring again after the 2019 season.

Illinois State football coach Brock Spack on state of his team: "This is the deepest we've been for any spring ball since I've been here. The staff is very excited about this team. We've got depth in a lot of spots."
