NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
Nice!
Welcome!
Love that 40% 3pt shooting stat! Can always use that.
Both PMiller and AJ Jacobson are seniors this season, so a wing recruit has been a priority.
When Knotek would arrive on campus, 6' 6" Tyson Ward would be a junior, as will 6' 5" JC recruit Chris Quayle (unless he redshirts). Preferred walk-on Jake Mertens, 6' 3", would probably be a RFR. Incoming FR Tyree Eady is also 6' 5", so he could be either a RFR or a Soph, if he plays right away.
6' 5" Sam Greisel is another wing the Bison have been recruiting, so will be interesting to see if more than one is recruited. It's possible that only 2 scholarships are available for this year, unless someone departs. (Is that correct?) 6' 3" Jarius Cook and 6' 7" Cole Bergan are 2 other offers out there currently. Perhaps it will be a case of BA*, 1st to commit.

Love the Jaxon signing. Great length and a smooth shot. It's a nice pure stroke and he can release it quickly which is important. I hope he's not quite done growing yet and adds little height this year as I don't know if he's quick enough to play the 2 spot at this level but would definitely be a nice 3 man if he could get to 6'6-6'7" by the time he arrives. Our 3 point shooting can always use a boost, welcome Jaxon!!
Ryan James reporting that Jarius Cook has now been offered by Ben Jacobson - Northern Iowa
Northern Iowa already has a "solid" commit from a 6' 3" 160 PG,
A.J. Green. He is a 4 star recruit, but his Dad is Ben Jacobson's right hand man on the coaching staff.

Am guessing both Green and Cook could be combo guards, able to be in the backcourt together.

By coincidence, after PG Jarius Cook was offered by Northern Iowa, Ryan James posted this:
PG from Champlin Park, he was teammates with last year's Mr Basketball, McKinley Wright. Averaged 9.5 ppg.Ryan James @RyanJamesMN
North Dakota State is in watching Josiah Strong workout at Champlin Park this morning
Should be lots of shots and ball handling available now......

Also from Ryan James:
Am going to guess that last name of Newbern is a familiar one to old Gopher fans - thinking Melvin Newbern from the Clem Haskins days.@RyanJamesMN
North Dakota State will also be at Maranatha Christian Academy today to see Beijan Newbern, a senior wing
Beijan Newbern was at Robbinsdale Cooper last season, averaged about 19 ppg.

Doesn't look like this has been posted yet but the Bison did pick up a commitment from Shahid yesterday.

He'll be part of the 2018 signing class so he won't be on the team until fall of next year and will have two years of eligibility left at that time.
Big get for the Bison....Jarius Cook verbals....

NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.
Awesome work by the staff with two most recent verbals. Shahid is a talented pg and will gives us 2 good years. Very very very excited about Jarius Cook, has the potential to be very good for NDSU!
