The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
Paul Fix.
I'm fine with reasoning behind NDSU #1 or 2. JMU loses some ballers but return plenty and clearly have a top notch coaching staff. They will reload and be championship caliber by playoffs again. NDSU was/is better than either of the other semi finalists not named JMU and return a bunch and could (actually should) well be the best team in FCS to start off the year. If you are ranking according to which is the best team at that time, NDSU should be #1. They would beat a JMU team breaking in many new players if they were to play week 1. I also have a feeling UNI steps back out of mediocrity with their young defense matured some. Ill St. will pick up where they left off before the playoffs and will be a top 10 team. The Jacks offense will be really tough to stop and it's scary to think Christion was an underclassmen last year. I will miss having an FBS game in 2017 but FCS is going to have a bunch of really good football teams. I think EW takes a small step back (they still have a stud QB and always reload so I'm sure new WR put up more ridiculous numbers). I still have a hard time figuring YSU for some reason but they have good coaches and I wouldn't be surprised if they improve again next year.
