Yeah, that's what all the Philly folks keep saying.... Its only the Browns, Its only the Bears.... next week will be the next test..... sort of like the saying "Free Beer Tomorrow". I think Wentz has passed "the test" of "can he play NFL level football. The only test is ... can the Eagles team live up to their end and provide the play to allow him to succeed, i.e., receivers need to stop dropping / shortarming passes that are within reach. It is after all a TEAM game, not just a QB game.
You wanta play football, any school will do; ... You wanta learn football, NDSU is for you!
I'm not hearing that from Eagles fans as a criticism though. Inside, they want to rip of their shirts, slap a "11" stencil on their chest, and get a green spray-on tan. They love The Kid.
They might think that the Eagles are still only going to finish 6-10 or something, but all they are doing is tempering expectations.
Now Cowboys fans, on the other hand...
Not sure what "test" he has to pass.
Can he throw an NFL pass? check.
Can he read a defense? check.
Can he make adjustments at the line? check.
Is he an accurate passer under pressure? check.
Can he command a huddle? check.
Is he pass interception prone? nope.
Can he stand in the face of blitz and make the other team pay? check.
Can he improvise when a play breaks down? check.
Does he play like a veteran? check.
Does he hold the ball securely? check.
Is he fumble prone? nope.
Does he hold the ball too long waiting for receivers to come open? nope.
etc. etc. etc.
So what is the "test" that he has to pass to prove whatever the test is suppose to measure?

To be fair, his level of competition is going to get a whole lot more real.
and that will change his demonstrated abilities, aptitudes, skills, talent, and competence?
He will lose the ability to read defenses, make adjustments, etc. if the level of competition is improved? Oh yeah, it was only MNF. The big challenge will be Thursday night football.
It appears that the "test" is that if the Eagle don't win the SB with CW at QB, then he will just be considered, by many, to be a fluke and a bust. The goal posts for the test keep moving.

Carson vs the Vikings defense should be a wake up call, he has Pitt(meh well see if he can compete in a shootout), Detroit and Washington before Minnesota.
Lucky for Carson, the game is in philly or i would really not like his chances
