Welcome Michael. Great to great those multi-sport athletes! Its still great we get all this in state players. Remember when we first turned D1 and people were saying, if we make that jump there go the days of ND kids on the Bison team. Anyways. Welcome and wish you the best!

Probably nothing I like more in a DT than them also being a stud wrestler. Welcome to the HERD Michael.

(I didn't appreciate the last couple of his clips in his HUDL video destroying my hometown school :| )

Agreed. Back in the run of championships in the 80s it seemed like every NT was undersized but a very successful wrestler. Their experience with leverage and weight balance made them difficult for OL to deal with. Kelly could be a monster NT/DT. Love it!

I believe he will become a dynamite player on the DL. If he were 6-4 or taller he'd be sought after by bigger colleges. He just destroys kids in his highlight clips.

Spent a lot of years in Oakes and know him and his family. Great kid! Excited to see him at NDSU!

2014 and 2015 Class B 285 lb wrestling champion and wouldn't be surprised if he adds a 3rd this year.

Also, was the 2014 and 2015 285-pound division champion at the USA Wrestling Junior Folkstyle Nationals.

This means he's got a nasty side, good balance, quick feet, great with his hands arms and placement! Oh and he's pretty dang good at football! lol

Kelly has a win over Metz in either freestyle or Greco-Roman can't remember which. If the two wrestled 10 times they probably split.
