I agree but its fun to see where ndsu stacks up. Looking at the final rankings I think ndsu could beat anybody from around the 15-20 range on. Which is amazing considering where we were in 2009.

But it is one of 15 data points so divide and the estimated impact is around 0.75 Sagarin points. A guess at NDSU's new rating could be something like 75.26 which would be good for 47th on the last ratings issued.
So what is the reason for the big jump? Is there some extra credit for winning the FCS?

I don't know how it all works, but wouldn't now being better connected to all the teams JSU beat give a raise to the ratings?

No. Audit posted it earlier, but to sum up, Jacksonville St was a quality team, and we thumped them by way more than predicted. Pretty sure that was the reason for the big jump.

I'm post #296 he guessed 47 and it ended up being 11 less. Just wondering if there is some arbitrary amount given for winning the fcs

No, there isn't. At least, I'd be extremely surprised if there were. That's not how it works.

Doubt it. I think audit finally got some numbers wrong!

Put the decimal in the wrong place. Now he's going to "pound it in the a$$ prison".
