We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

UND's rating is 8th in the Big Sky. Not really surprising when you look beyond their "7" wins and FBS win.

USD is ranked higher than UND.

So how in the hell could the Suck actually be considered for a playoff slot! If they leak in they will get pounded and be done after 2 qtrs of ball.

If they get in they would probably play UNI and then yes they are going to be pounded. But if they play say Dayton (they better win that) or someone from the smaller conferences, they could pull out a victory.

is the GPI used in consideration for playoffs? I thought the committee used the SRS, and that is not released until after the selection announcements.

    also...
I looked at last years SRS rankings and we were #1 and New Hampshire was #6. You would think NDSU would have been #1 seed, but because the Chairman of the selection committee was New Hampshire's AD, they somehow moved #1 to #6. It was not surprising at the time, because iirc he had said in an interview that he felt UNH deserved to be #1. Anyways, this goes to show the selection process has a lot of politics involved. It would be nice to have someone fight for NDSU on the selection committee, but I think the MVFC representative is Northern Iowa's AD. Like he would care much about NDSU.
