    It was absolutely an illegal block by Connor Wentz that should've been flagged. It's an illegal block because it's dangerous. Did he make that block with the express intent to injure the guy? That's an incredible reach IMO. I think it's highly unlikely based on where the block first landed. Blatantly illegal? Yes. Blatantly dirty? No, and there is a very big difference between the two.

    I can understand why UND fans would be upset though. If one of NDSU's starters got knocked out for the year by an illegal play in the 4th quarter of a 4 score game it would piss a lot of us off too.

    Agreed. It was bad decision. I'm sure no one feels worse then Connor about what happened. It's football, players get hurt, it's unfortunate but it happens. Wish the young man a speedy and full recovery.
