I understand what you are saying. BUT people wait in line for Reserved spots here. Just saying.
May be they need to go full big boy pants and turn the GA in to reserved like most stadiums that have parking close to the stadium.. Then people would know they have a spot. Then they could open up a few parking lots further away from the dome for GA.

When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.

You don't give out trophies for losing. Trophies for sucking. That's a communist idea. You don't get a trophy for losing. You get a piece of pizza and you shut up. Trophies for losing? What the hell happened to us?

That is exactly what they should do.

Now we have a situation that threatens to solve itself because of inaction. Will it be the end of the world?...of course not, but it should be a wake-up call to the administration that they need to explore solutions to this problem.
I can tell you that the powers that be have talked about every scenario people have brought up on this venue. Some are for doing something different. Others arent.
One thing you might want to consider. May be some dont look at it as a problem?

Something like that is exactly what everyone had been suggesting, and you've been arguing against.

We need to do something to increase the amount of space available to tailgate. The specifics of which lot, what becomes reserved what stayes ha, etc. don't matter, we just need more lots.
Some say it's a backward place. Narrow minds on a narrow way, but I make it a point to say. That that's where I come from.

No I havent. I have voiced I dont see the need to have people stay over night etc or the need to set up friday night . The only people that I know that get in on friday nights at other venues are big dollar donars with large buses.
I also havent seen big support for turn the GA lot to reserved.

These people are a detriment to NDSU. They are in a golden age of NDSU football. Grow or die. Take advantage of the situation. What will they do when football has some down years? If game day has become an event where you gather with friends and family and tailgate, then it has become an institution. Game attendance will stabilize in a down year and will explode in a up year. This is an organic thing, in that, you need to feed it Don't feed it, it dies.

    Here' Georgia's policy....seems reasonable

    Tailgating Regulations
No tailgating setups before 7 a.m. on Saturday.
Please click here for more information on tailgating at North Campus
The University of Georgia is an institution of higher education for more than 33,000 students. No one wants someone partying in their neighborhood before 7 a.m. The campus is the “neighborhood” for UGA students, and we hope our fans will respect that.
People will still be able to park cars in legal spaces in advance, and arrive before 7 a.m. on campus, as long as they don’t begin creating noise and setting up any items (tailgate equipment, tables, chairs, tents) before 7 a.m.. As long as these items remain inside a vehicle people can arrive and park prior to the 7 a.m. approved tailgating time.
No turkey fryers. No wood burning or other physical material fueled fires aside from charcoal.
No unauthorized use of UGA resources (power and cable hookups).
Fans who want to watch television or use other entertainment devices that require electricity are allowed to do so as long as they provide their own power and video source.
No household furniture (foldings chairs not included)

Then I suggest you call Team Makers and voice you opinion. Doing so here will not make a difference.
