I only call them Sioux when it fits whatever narrative I am trying to tell.
When I tell my UND friends their school sucks, I tend to tell them 'Sioux Suck'. But if I am telling my friends some news about UND, I tell them 'UND does this and that'.
I will only use the name they hold on to ever so dearly when I use it with a negative connotation.
Completely agree with this. One or more (should be all) of the remaining nicknames bothers each person in their fan base. Whether its so and so hates sundogs or nodaks or roughriders. Any chants making fun of the remaining nicknames will be much more effective than SSS.
I read some on SS today.....my god every other thing out of Darrell little mind is IPF, IPF
WHERE YOUR IPF, WE HAVE AN IPF.......who the Fuck cares.....our IPF is the dome, and the bubble
Our bubble style that is removable is used in the nfl, fbs..etc...so we have moved on from buthockey to butIPF, please darrell....give 1 example where this IPF has trumped ndsu for you....PLEASE

yep, and I have Wednesday and Thursday off and can't get to the lakes because of commitments on the home front. So, buckle up buttercup. These posts are driving my in-laws crazy.I mean und.
I'm only posting hard data. That's something that the media is going to run from because it doesn't sell papers. I think NDSU did UND a favor by not scheduling them the last five years. Getting your ass handed to you by your in state rival does not remotely help recruiting.
Stat - Of the ten games they have played against teams even remotely similar to NDSU (Montana, Montana St, E Washington, SDSU) 5/10 times they lost by 38 or more. yep, 38.
Breaking news on the und nickname:
The NCAA shocked the College Hockey community today, announcing that it had intervened to officially change the University of North Dakota’s nickname to

BISON PRIDE!
Honest question....in a game like this (with "recruitment" implications and not being in the same conference), is there a precedent to not call off the dogs like the Bison did with Weber St? No 100% guarantee of that happening by any means, but if the opportunity presents itself, does Klieman go for the throat? Maybe not even on the 1s versus 2s/3s thing, but maybe they don't go 100% vanilla and drive for scores.

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.
I think CK is the type of person who calls the dogs off when the game is well in hand... Having no stake in the rivalry at all I think he will ease up. I think if Bohl was still here and having gone thru what he did back in the day I think he pulls a MSU Dragons plus on them... Hoping I am wrong and he buries them deep and then mows over their heads!![]()

Nope. I don't think so. We've got a long season and our goals are to win the MVFC and make a playoff run, win another championship. If the game is in the bag, why unveil any new packages to let future opponents game plan for. Or why risk an injury to a key player if we don't need to.
I can't imagine a recruit would really care if UND lost by 14 or 30, both are comfortable victories.
