Everyone pushing for FBS, there is only one problem NDSU has to be invited by an FBS conference. That simply isn't going to happen anytime soon for 2 reasons, location and money. NDSU is out of pretty much every FBS conference footprint except B10 and B12 and those are never going to invite an FCS school. And NDSU does not bring any money or big time viewer markets to an FBS conference. So unless you all can come up with a way to convince an FBS conference to send an invite you might as well forget about it!

Why dont you direct that question to NDSU? How do you know they havent? FYI NDSU works on their timeline. Not yours or BV.

You are correct, it is a money driven game now and many teams are losing money by being fbs. Assuming NDSU remains a powerful force if/when we move up and we get to the "Rob Portapotty" bowl and can't sell our allocation of tickets it will likely cost NDSU money.

The money doesn't really come until you are in a power conference with a stellar tv contract. Which are two things I don't think will happen for quite some time.

So if many teams lose money by being FBS, no playoffs, competition in the mac or MWC really isnt going to be that much better than we are facing in the MVFC. We arent going to get much more national exposure than we already get, What was the reason you guys want to go FBS again?

Just once I would like one of you guys to just come out and say...Its because you want to be able to say we are FBS. Cuz IMO thats the only reason.

I have a solution...why don't you just say it. NDSU is FBS. It wont be true...but it makes about as much sense as actually moving up right now.

Plenty of us do. hard to see the untapped talent that the NDSU program possesses when it keeps winning championships at a level the majority of the country doesn't watch.

I have news for you, no one watches half of the FBS teams either. How many people aside of former residents or alumni of the Goofers that live away from MN watch them play, I will bet you that it is way under 1%. So even if NDSU went FBS, how many fans outside of those connected with NDSU in some way are going to watch us? Pretty much zero. Most of you "Move to the FBS lovers" act like we can just snap our our fingers and we are heading to the FBS. Major issues need to be addressed like lets say ohhhhhh GETTING INVITED IN THE FIRST PLACE, or how about the stadium issue and the $300,000,000.01 or so price tag,how about location location location as to where we fit in the MAC(to far to the west) or the Mountain West(to far to the east), or the $40,000,000.03 annual athletic department cost (because everyone wants to be like Boise St) and all the costs it covers like pay increases for all sports coaches.....scholarships....travel costs go up cause were not going to be playing Valley City in anything...... in addition of women's sports or added scholarships there as well. How about you figure out those questions/problems first before you ruin NDSU.

This ^^^^^^^, all you FBS move now posters should take note. We do not get to decide to move up, the FBS decides if we move up. And right now the MAC and MW do not need us for any and for many reasons. We are outside the footprint, they gain no exposure, their costs go up to come here. And don't kid yourself whoever it was that said our stadium capacity is fine.
