Heagle's team (Kimberly, WI) won their quarterfinal game. He had two INTs and 3 rushing TDs.

In South Dakota, Washington won (Trevor Gebhart) and O'Gorman lost (Michael Hardie). Almost no details on the web about either game.

Parshall?! You mean to tell me that Parshall has a team, much less a good team!?

Apparently so. I don't know much about Parshall, but you can be sure I'll be at the dome on Friday wearing my old Pirates jersey.

As far as I know, the two schools have never played each other in football. It is, oddly enough, a rematch of the opening round game of the boys 2007 Class B basketball tournament though.

Some good athletes dressed in the blue and white, but no offers from NDSU. Two of them have had visits up at UND, though.

Washington beat Brandon Valley, the team with Austin Sumner who has set all kinds of passing records. Score of 55-10. Gebhart had an interception and 3 passes broken up. He also caught 3 passes. Washington is in the finals against Aberdeen Central.

Andy has these guys playing good football. Make no mistake about it, there is one heck of a lot of coaching that has went into this 10-1 record. There are a couple special skill players. There are two or three linemen who have some size but they are far from huge and HAD poor footwork and some other basic skills. He has coached this team up and they are now getting it done by being sound on assignments. There are kids out there every week who are making plays that I don't think they would have made a year ago.

Dinius is a special back. 5-8 155lbs. Had 40 carries on Saturday for 219 yards which is about 40 yards below his season average. Currently right around 2,800 yards. Key on him too much and Beck will make you pay.

I'm really happy for these kids. They were 2-7 last season and nobody saw this coming.

With Billy Turner's verbal, that means that we've got another team to follow in the playoffs.

Turner's Mound View team beat #2 Stillwater to advance to the next round of playoffs despite having lost their starting QB and RB.

Rosemount (Max Busher and Zach Vraa) lost to Eastview in the Section 3 championship.

Wayzata (Grant Olson and AJ Troup) beat Champlin Park for the Section 5 championship.

It's good to see that Langdon finally has hired a coach with college experience. There has been alot of talent up in Langdon for years. They just didn't have the coaching experience to help them get to the next level. It always seemed like they were getting out coached year in and year out in the past. I was part of the program when they hired the principal from Munich as an assistant in 1998 who came from Griggs Co. Central and everyone on the team thought he should have been the head coach. Langdon always had Basketball as the #1 sport up there. I hope that changes and the success continues.
