Just a guess here, but would Taylor Nelson's uncle be Steve Nelson, former Bison and NE Pats LB. Welcome to the herd Taylor.

Great get over several D1 programs. UNI can't be too happy with NDSU this year in recruiting. We are winning some great battles.
Everyone just relax, all right? Believe me, if there's one thing Ron Burgundy knows, it's women.

There was a Dave Nelson from DL that played for the Bison in the early 70s. He then transferred to Moorhead State. PL

Nothing like taking a stud and having it hurt a rival. This is a nice player. And you have to think that he's a good kid as well because I think Turner Gill pretty much is taking high character kids at Buffalo.

Dave Nelson, the Minnetonka FB coach is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth and the brother of Steve Nelson, former Bison great and NE Patriot icon. Dave and his wife Maureen have three daughters, Sarah, Ashley, and Jesse.

I was there. Watched him play several times. I remember when Dave Nelson and Chris Reimers (first name?) were recruited. They were huge prospects at the time.

Dave was a hell of an athlete. But from what I hear in his fresh or soph year he took quite a hit from Jim LaClair from UND and he was never the same. Plus he was always injured. When it became apparent that he wasnt going to make it back with the Bison he transferred.

The Reimers you are thinking about is Bruce. He was a running back. A damn good one at that. Saw him 2 years ago at the MN game -73 Championship reunion. PL
