You can give Drevlow and Grothman the little green star with the word Verbal behind it

Holy shit that didnt take long. Ryan Drevlow ran a 4.65 forty. I know the kids he played with and played against him, No lie. Don't know grothman but he's pretty fast for his size. I ran a 4.9(not fast, but fast enough) forty my senior year and they blew by me.

We need good players- who gives a rats ass where they are from- speed and talent aren't limited to out of state players ..with that line of thinking- I guess we can just tell guys like Brandon Jemison to go elsewhere-we don't want them either.

A big kid who spends a lot of time in the weight room with good speed (ran the 100 in track along with throwing the shot (school record holder) and discus - also a very good basketball player.

Tyler Gimmestad, 6'4, 270, Marshall, MN Verballed to NDSU over offers from UNI, USD, UND, SDSU, and, according to some sources, FBS school Northern Illinois with plenty of interest from BCS schools. He's big and mobile - D2 schools were recruiting him for basketball. If you watch the video below, you'll see that when he pulls on offense, he is really fast. Honorable mention all-state in MN.Ethan Hemer, 6'5, 240, Medford, WI Has offers from Northern Iowa, South Dakota, and Illinois State with interest from Wisconsin (just took his official visit), Colorado State, and NC State. Second team all state, all conference on both sides of the ball (also conference player of the year).

Cole Jirik, 6'4, 220, Northfield, MN First team all-state and has an offer from Western Michigan and NDSU that we know, all the other Dakota schools, NIU, UNI, and Buffalo have shown interest - the Gophers want him to walk on.

Justin Juckem, 6'5, 240, Chilton, WI *Verbal to NDSU, 12/8/2008* over offers from Washington State, Army, and Boston College. Wissports.net has him as the #5 *overall* prospect in WI and rivals.com has him at #7! 4.6 40 and a very good multi-sport athlete.Taylor Nelson, 6'5, 230, Minnetonka, MN A tight-end prospect (I think) with offers from Northern Iowa, NDSU and UND with a lot of contact from Iowa State, Northern Illinois (NIU), and Colorado State. Averaged over 20 yards a reception and is an excellent basketball player.

Kevin Vaadeland, 6'4, 225, Park Rapids, MN *Verbal to NDSU, 6/24/2008* A WR/RB/LB and multi-sport star. I have even less of an idea where NDSU will put him on the field - could be a linebacker, fullback, DE, TE - very versatile.Austin Brzezinski, 6'4, 200 Amherst, WI Another versatile player - played WR, TE, and RB but is listed as a TE on most recruiting sites. Good speed (4.6 40) and runs sprints as well as long jump/triple jump in track.

Caleb Nelson, 6'3, 260, Forman (Sargent Central), ND Played RB/DL in HS so I suppose he could be a fullback too. I'm thinking interior defensive line, ala Gratzek though.

Danny Leucke, 6'5, 225, Fargo (South), ND Multi-sport athlete, big frame, first-team All-state at tightend.
Those are some big frames to build on. PL

SWEET!!! That is 3 for 3 in ND. Another clean sweep. Congrats to the staff.

There are people on UND and SDSU's boards talking about how well we are doing on recruiting. Tradition talks!!! SDSU gets it done, no question about that. I am really excited about these verbals. Hopefully they all stick and we can continue to build on a very strong young football team. I am excited about the kids who redshirted last year.
