    Still, it's a good analysis.
I don't think the MVFC overall was that much tougher than the previous teams in the Great West along with other good non-conference games. NDSU's inconsistency killed the team all season long this year. If NDSU played like the previous two years they would be in the playoffs now. The fact is they did not, and there will be even more issues next season.

The CAA did pretty good in the playoffs yesterday. JMU, Appy, Richmond.

I agree about the MVFC vs. the Great West. Cal Poly & SDSU were as tough as nails. Our team this year wouldn't have done well.

    I disagree about next year.

If another QB other than Mertens can emerge, I disagree too.

I agree with the thread starter that MVC is not the best conference right now and choose against the "they are the best because NDSU is in the conference" argument.

Do you know of any JUCO or FBS transfers that could be possibilities yet? Seriously

Another question: Would an FBS transfer be eligible right away? Not sure.

FBS to FCS transfers are eligible right away. FCS to FCS, or any other sport DI to DI transfers must sit one year.

    Thanks

Maybe Clausen is tired of playing at Notre Dame.

What was the QB's name from Sam Houston that transfered from Oklahoma? Am I right about the transfer?

    Rhett Bomar.

There are FBS to FCS QB transfers when the kid is a third stringer that are more common. Montana and Delaware are two schools that have done well with FBS transfer QB's.

Bomar sat a year because of suspension for violation of NCAA rules. Transfers can play immediately if from FBS to FCS.
He was dismissed by Oklahoma and enrolled at SHSU. It is not a typical transfer but it works the same.
