That's funny because I always assumed that New Rockford was in Western ND too. I thought New Rockford was that town with the huge cow on the hill (New Salem). I am not a geography expert.

    And yes, I realize it's 9-man...
yes it was against a bad defense- he is respectable but not as good as his stats show- there is a question on his 500+ yard game- on film it shows it is much closer to 275-300 than 500- which brings in question if his season totals were inflated also- I don't know much about the ellendale o-line but im sure they deserve credit- either way- time will tell.

A 9 mine prospect that is being looked at: Andrew Grothman from Hillsboro. 6'2" 210 lbs- his weight is held down by wrestling- last year he was state 189 champ. Good linebacker- averaging over 12 yards a carry from the fullback position in the option offense Hillsboro runs- dominate player- watch for yourself friday at 1100 in the state championship game at the alerus. Would be nice to see him step in to Jangula's position ( since Vondal won't be doing it)

    3 questions:

    1) Did you know that Vandal has re-joined the team?
    2) If you answered yes to the first question, are you predicting more trouble ahead for him?
    3) If you answered yes to the first question, do you think he's good enough to step into that role?

    1. Yes
    2. Yes
    3. Yes
The second one I have a feeling will happen ( hopefully not) . The last one- have to wait and see how the transition from high school to college goes- talent wise Grothman has no problem- big step from 9-man to d-1- tough to predict how anyone will do.

Gratzek turned out just fine and he was contributing from the beginning of his freshman year

The Bison have offers out to Brookings High School's Offensive linemen Alex Parker 6'5" 270 pounds and Matt Field 6'5" 295 pounds. Both also have offers from SDSU and some other FCS and FBS schools.

Having seen both the kid from Ellendale play and Grothman play there is no doubt in my mind Grothman is the better back and the only of the 2 that could play D1 football.

I dont however know if he could step in and play as a true freshman, Would love to see it but im just not sold on it.

Put me on the Vandal Bandwagon saying he got his head on straight, plus hes gotta be turing 21 pretty soon.
    NDSU Van Club

Lakesbison may be an idiot, but in the end he's our idiot.

Can we pretend that Jose Mohler passes are like shooting stars, cuz I would wish for a new O coordinator.

Good point- I don't think Grothman could take that big of a jump in one year either- I do think he will be splitting reps with Vondal after his redshirt year....Vondal will turn 21- but that only solves half the problem- he has to quit throwing the parties (loud party arrest) 21 is just an age- he has to grow up- or more importantly - wake up,

Kittelson can always go back to fullback as well. He played there before and I thought he did well. We have options.

SEE .. what you WANT to do.. is that FIRST PARTY you have at your house.. you want that to be JUST MASSIVE and CRAZY AND NUTZ... get your loud party arrest..

BUT.. since it was soo EPIC..of a party.. the next time you throw a party.. the nieghbors say "oh..this isn't as bad or loud as that first party they had"

and they dont call the cops.

lakesbison crime enforcement determent TIP OF THE DAY!!
