I watched some of Tarleton St's game last night and they seemed like a solid team with a handful of high level athletes. It's early in the season but like watching other teams over the years that were supposed to be the up and coming threat they looked too sloppy at times and seemed to rely on overwhelming the defense with speed rather than scheme. Chattanooga was able to consistently hit big gains against their defense but couldn't keep drives going. I wonder if a team with a more consistent offense could drive the ball against their D. So many FCS teams are feast or famine in their offensive approach which can lead to three straight failed downs too often.

Time to join our peers in the FBS. Do WHATEVER it takes. Also... consider firing ML. any CEO who is 5-10 years behind the tide/movement gets fired. Why do we accept this with ML?

The stats poll was pretty much a joke this week. If I was a voter, I'd start with Sagarin, then move teams that you have to move based on head to head, etc. Use leave the rest alone. While they have Tarleton correct which was good to see, Rhode Island at 6? illinois st at 7? Lehigh? UND way down at 14? Presbyterian? (Yes, I know they've had a godo start, but come on.)

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie
