Not sure about yesterday but the first two games a lot of those 3rd down non conversions were from late in the first two games when we were trying to not score 100 points.

It's run blocking imo. Run blocking is ndsu's most glaring weakness by a substantial margin. (What a ridiculous weakness for an NDSU team)

Having run blocking issues is making setting up 3rd down more difficult, and converting 3rd down more difficult.

I hope there is an answer that the coaches can get to. They seemed to find an ok answer last year.

The teams we have played are all very bad. The run game should have much more easily dominated them imo.

USD looks pretty weak this year (unlikely to make the playoffs imo), but will be a significant step up in opponent difficulty. Hopefully we can continue to roll.

Agree on run blocking/run game 26.

Yep, Tennessee River is a strong contender. But I think the lyrics to Dixieland Delight paint a good picture of making that long drive to Nashville with the girl you love next to you, going for another Dixieland Delight, an FCS National Championship:

Rolling down a backwoods Tennessee byway
    One arm on the wheel
Holding my lover with the other
    A sweet, soft, southern thrill
    Worked hard all week
    Got a little jingle
    On a Tennessee Saturday night
    Couldn't feel better
I'm together with my Dixieland Delight

For the purpose of the song, it is too bad they moved the title game to Monday, but everything else fits pretty well.
By the way, the Tennessee River flows through Knoxville and Chattanooga, but is about 135 miles south of Nashville.

SEMO had 10 guys in the box. The coach said he didn't think Cole Payton was going to be an accurate passer so they basically said you have to throw to win. Coach Polasek said that SEMO was running a bunch of stunts and twists to disrupt the run game. He also mentioned that teams are loading up on the guards and center and that they need to come up with an answer for that.

Agreed. Not unusual for teams to sell out to stop the run and that's what Semo did. The Southpaw from Omaha made them pay for it.

Guitar Town could be another option.

The PA should also play Dolly Parton's 9-5 if/when Cole Payton throws a TD to Bryce Lance.

I had my ChatGPT agent (who I've preemptively nicknamed Agent Smith) run the numbers by quarter.

So 5 for 12 when trying not to score a hundred points on shitty teams.
