Last year, the GF school's advantage over NDSU was entirely due to on-line (virtual) enrollment, and although I have not yet seen this year’s numbers, I expect it will be the same. This is what they are referring to as "record enrollment"

It appears Bismarck is reevaluating the funding model, as some in the Legislature are not keen on giving the same amount of money for students who may never set foot in the state. I hope they do this, as it strikes me as both fair and logical …
Don't kid yourself, NDSU has plenty of online only students as well. My son is one of them. The big difference between NDSU and UND is that UND will allow far more degrees from online only vs NDSU. Had NDSU not offered Jaiden's (my kid) major 100% online with a requirement to actually attend/sign in live to the class, he'd have likely gone to University of Advancing Technology or UND. Fortunately the IT degree he wanted was 100% online with no "live" log in required. He just gets his assignments and completes them by the due date.

That wouldn't work for me though..

That’s the fault of our prior leadership for not embracing the changing higher education preferences of potential students.

That's not a bad thing if they can keep the on campus flat. No reason we couldn't be a national online university. Liberty has an effective model
