You might not get a 4.7 to a 4.4 but it all depends on the athlete. A good athletic trainer can work to get the fast twitch muscle fibers working efficiently and work with the muscle memory and stretching and you can improve statistical speed. You get muscles to work at peak performance and lengthened out by stretching you can improve most players coming out of High school in my opinion.

You can't train the "it" but you can give a athlete better tools to use when they "have it".

Here is one study that looked at someones loss after a decreasing training:

Here is another in the conclusion states: Complex training can be another valuable method for short-term power and speed improvements in athletes in isolation or in conjunction with other power development methods.

I didn't think Bisonhusker was talking smack, I think he just wanted to remind the Tight End that verballed to SDSU that the team enters the field from a mobile home. I thought it was one of the funniest posts in a long time. It is true. I am guessing he was being funny, no smack intended. I could be wrong.

I sent out a little smack. True, not the appropriate forum to do it, but still just having fun with our "rival" and didn't think it would cause a problem. So, I am sorry for saying the women's basketball team is taken to away games in a horse trailer.*

*I do not in fact know it is a "horse" trailer. Some form of livestock trailer, but not definitely a "horse" trailer. Sorry for the confusion. Won't happen again. Honest. I mean it. As always, I kid because I care.

So I see we have 9 verbals and 1 transfer.

I didn't read the entire thread so I'm sorry if this has been discussed, but anyone know where we were at last year with the amount of verbals we had?

Signing day is early February, and I'm wondering if we maybe just don't have many scholarships to give out and this is what our class will be looking like, or if we can hope for a few more in the next couple of weeks?

For some reason I'm thinking we had more last year at this time, but I could be wrong, or maybe we just had more scolarships to give out...

    I doubt it.

Nobody really recruits tight ends. If the kid can play, he will likely end up at DE, or put on weight and play tackle. You can "manufacture" a tight end out of most any good athlete......why recruit one.

You recruits kids that can play tight end, thats why...haha they are kinda an important part of an offense for blocking and short to mid passing game. but i agree most of the time u recruit someone that fits the size and play him elsewhere but at the same time the TE is a very important position

Yeah, that's why Bohl brought in AJ Cooper as a JUCO transfer.

That's why Wurzbacher was recruited as a TE.

The TE at NDSU is no longer referred to as the Outside Tackle of the Babich era.

There will be six TE's returning next year. That's why recruiting a TE was not a priority

Part of the reason why it's difficult to get a lot of early verbals is because they are targeting athletes also recruited by mid-level FBS programs. It's a filtering down process.
