NDSU never actually offered him. Word is Bohl didn't like him near as much as the OC. Had NDSU actually offered him, he would have jumped at the offer in a heartbeat.

Pretty sure that it'll be Nick Mertens. He'll be a junior but has only thrown 14 passes. He has a strong arm and must be accurate since he completed 10 of 14 (and one of those incompletions was a dropped ball).

In high school he rushed for 824 yards and 20 TDs on 171 carries. I would say that is pretty good.

No one unless there is another 300 pound o lineman somewhere that we never heard about.

There has always seemed to be at least one big time recruit in ND. 3 years ago it was Nick Mertens, 2 years ago Matt Anderson, last year Austin Richard, but this year it doesn't seem like anyone sticks out. Are the Bison even going to offer a scholarship to a ND kid this year?

Horner from South sticks out but other than that not really. I would like to see us sign a ND kid or two. Ultimately I would like to have our walk on program set up like the Nebraska programs used to be. Local kids might not get an offer but they are encouraged to walk on and earn a scholarship.
