And we wonder why SDSU doesn't want the game on TV!

I hope he comes to NDSU! Then he can have Championships and the High School and College level!

Exactly my point........recruiting is the only reason that makes sense why SDSU would be so much against televising the game. You would think they would want to roll the dice as they have near even odds of winning the game. Could pull off a big recruiting gain........but the risk of a loss might just leave them in worse shape.

That's fine by me. I would love for us to be able to continue to get South Dakota's rock star recruits.

Does anyone on the blog know anything about a big OL at Manomen (sp)? The husband of a gal who works for me coaches basketball, and his college buddy coaches at this HS. His buddy said lots of bigger schools showed interest in him when he was a junior but have backed off. He is now supposedly leaning towards NDSU. Any scoop would be great.

08/03/2007 Preston Evans, LB, 5'11, 215, Sioux Falls Roosevelt (SD)
08/03/2007 Dan Offerman, DT, 6'3, 265, Roseville, MN

    Transfer(s)
10/24/2007 Kyle Richardson, DT, 6'4, 310, NDSCS, Circle Pines, MN (Centennial)
According to Kolpack's blog, Offerman is targeted as a DE and not a DT:

NDSU football recruit Danny Offerman had a successful senior year at Roseville in the Twin Cities. He's 6-4, 260 pounds and is targeted as a defensive end at NDSU. He had 90 tackles (25 solo, 48 assisted), 10 tackles of lost yardage, seven QB sacks, caused three fumbles and recovered an incredible seven fumbles. That despite teams having a tendency to run away from him, said head coach Chris Simdorn.

The former Bison quarterback said his team designed most of its offense around the tight end Offerman either as a receiver or a lead blocker. He had 20 receptions for 380 yards and four touchdowns. He had 20 carries for 81 yards and one touchdown.

He was also the team's punter averaging 35 yards a boot.

Does anyone know which is correct?

I'm not sure if the coaches are targeting him as an end or tackle, but I think a good parallel might be a guy like Frick. I believe he was 255-260-ish when he was signed as a defensive end, but he put on bulk in the weight room and moved inside to tackle. Again, just purely based on position/size as I haven't seen him play.

I don't remember his name, but I think there is a OL from Fargo North that is real solid, something like 6'4", 265 with the frame to go 290-295.
