So with the students out of the equation since they have to buy their tickets, with advance time to plan for a game (safe to assume we are winning first round game, with bye, 3 weeks to plan for this game), so it true demand for bison football in the 17K to 18K range, not 25-30k like some want to believe?
HOLY CRAP! https://fargo.craigslist.org/d/tickets/search/tia
Craiglist has over 500 tickets available for NDSU / Wofford. still tickets left on gobison! plus student tickets will be released.
we have reached Stagnation & Boredom BisoNation!! sorry!!
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
Media has done a horseshit job about NDSU football tickets. They chirp nonstop about how NDSU Football tickets are SOLD OUT for the entire season... meaning Todd & Rachel from Hoople don't even ATTEMPT to get tickets anymore.. everyone has their watch parties and bison tv watching traditions out there... Coupled with the FCS Stagnation & Complacency.... if NDSU had a 42,000 stadium and played a true FBS schedule, every game would be sold out.
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
Depends on when you're talking about. Demand for playoff games is always going to be less. That's the case everywhere across the FCS and it is the same at NDSU. The fact that NDSU consistently puts 18,000+ in the Fargodome in the playoffs shows that we weather playoff ticket apathy syndrome better than almost everyone else in the FCS but we're not immune to it.
For the regular season I'm sure they could occasionally sell out a 25k seat stadium. For playoffs I doubt you'd see anything over 20k ever and probably about 18k on average like they get now.
Have we ever sold less than 18k tickets for a playoff game? (not counting 2010) This one will sell out like the rest. And they always under report playoff ticket sales because the NCAA gets most of the money so comps aren't included in the numbers
I would guess playoff fan base is about 20k which is probably less than the regular season but given the Frisco numbers probably higher

The NCAA should be paying for advertisements since they get most of the ticket revenue.
It's OK to not be OK.
