It looks like the first official Summit League competition for the Bison will be for the soccer team on Sept 9th against Oakland.

Sure, the offices are closed. But it seems appropriate that South Dakota State officially becomes a member of the Summit League on a Sunday.
After three years in independent purgatory, the most pressing question about the school's move to the NCAA Division I level has been answered.
The hallelujah count will be high today.
"I've never been asked one question so much in my life," Jackrabbits athletic director Fred Oien said. "At church, at the grocery store. Do you have a conference? So it feels good."
Ditto for North Dakota State - SDSU's tag team partner in transition - and Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne, which also join the Summit League today.
The three-school addition - along with Valparaiso's departure - makes this the largest transaction for the 25-year-old league since 1994, and brings its roster to 10. . . . (read more)

I noticed you said "Go State!" at the end of your email. I always find it funny when you guys come here to play basketball and have STATE plastered across your chests, while we have NDSU. Then our cheerlears lead a chant of "Lets go STATE, Lets go STATE!" I always think to myself "HELLO???"
